The Rev. Walter Clarence Busby Sr., 78, of Dacula died Tuesday.
The funeral is 1 p.m. today at Lawrenceville Church of God. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will be in Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross.
The Rev. Busby served as a chaplain's assistant in the Navy during World War II. He attended Birmingham Southern College from 1948 to 1952. During his long ministry, he pastored several churches and served in many denominational positions.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn J. Busby; two children, the Rev. Clarence Busby Jr. of Cartersville and Judy Marie Durant of Suwanee; five siblings, Charles Busby of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Calvin Busby of Hartselle, Ala., Eleanor Hammond of Bessemer, Ala., Evelyn Howard of Alabama and Eloise York of Birmingham; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home, Norcross, is in charge of arrangements.
