For some reason, I had the sudden urge to write to Judge Guess last night and thank him for being a role model whom I had always respected. He was a surrogate father to me for so many years and it breaks my heart to hear of his passing. Your family (and I do mean all of you) are always in my heart and I miss the days when I would be helping your dad with something as the house was being built or sharing holidays with your family or just spending time learning from him. Judge Guess was the kind of man/father/husband/community leader that I hope to be -- a sweet, gentle man who always put his family first and had the strength of character and wisdom that has stayed with me all of these years. I love and miss you all and wish that there was some way that I could have told him how much he meant to me. Life turned out differently than I had expected, but I will never forget -- and always cherish -- the time that I had with Judge Guess and all of you for seven wonderful years. God bless you all...

Love,
Greg
