William Long Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. William Herman Long, age 90, of Doraville, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon September 16, 2005. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the Ozark Division. He was a man of many trades and a master of all. Throughout his neighborhood he was known as the man who could fix any car. Mr. Long is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Elkins Long. He is survived by one niece, G. Susan Johnson of Cumming, five nephews and their wives, Bill and Jackie Johnson of Cumming, John and Gail Johnson of Marietta, Lamar and Joy Long of Jackson, Carl Long of Atlanta; and Gary and Judy Long of Greensboro. Other great-nieces and nephews also survive him. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 18th from 3 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside Services will be held Monday, September 19th at 4:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta. R.T. Patterson Funeral Home, 5275 N. Buford Highway, Norcross, Georgia 30071.
