Carl Raser Obituary

Carl E. Raser, age 90, of Omaha, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at Hillcrest Rehab. The son of Carl Sumner Raser and Elise Lester Raser, was born on July 14, 1928 in Grand Island, Neb. He graduated from Atlantic High School in 1946. On Sept. 19, 1954, he married the love of his life Beverly Pond at First Lutheran Church, Wiota. They were married for 53 years. The couple resided in Omaha most of their married life.
Carl was an avid Nebraska sports fan and actively followed the Cornhuskers football and volleyball programs. He watched the Nebraska VS Iowa football game just a few days before his passing. Carl also loved cars and was involved in the automotive parts business for much of his working career. Carl served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Atonement Lutheran Church and participated in their bible study program. He was a man of strong faith.
Carl will be missed by his sister Evelyn Raser Cain of Overland Park, Kan,; sister-in-law Beulah (Dick) Follmann of Massena; Nieces April (Bert) Hoeck of Atlantic, Lori (Scott) Westphal of Kalispell, Mont., Linda (Brian) Bower of Massena, Mary Evelyn (Lenard) Holsworth of Overland Park, Kan.; Nephews Douglas (Mona) Follmann of Stanhope, and special friends Eleanor and Don Rice of Carter Lake.
He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly, parents Carl and Elsie Raser, nephews Craig Follmann and Wesley Cain.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to service all at Atonement Lutheran Church.
Burial will be held at the First Lutheran Church Cemetery at 1 p.m. in Wiota.
