Clare McNutt Obituary

Clare J. McNutt, the daughter of Anton and Martha Hansen Jensen, was born Sept. 12, 1914 and died May 17,2011 at the Cass County Hospice Center in Atlantic. She was 96-years-old.
The family lived in Cass County, later moving to a farm in Oakfield where Clare and her brothers and sisters attended the Oakfield Academy, and later the Exira High School. She was a baptized member of the Exira Lutheran Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Anton and Martha Jensen; her husband, Darwin McNutt; her great-grandaughter Katelyn Salmont, and four brothers and sisters, Chris and Eloise Jensen, Bertha Hestir, Mary and Sara Simonsen, Carl and Ethel Jensen, Walter and Doris Jensen, Pauline Jones, Bertraum Jensen, Mac Soliene Jensen, and brother-in-law Charles Krogh.
Survivors include her son, Tom John Sr. and wife Betty of Fallbrooke, Calif.; her grandchildren, Tom John Jr. of Sun Valley, Calif., Tina Salmont of Redding, Calif., Toni and Shawn Morgan of Red Bluff; Calif., and Tylyn Aviles and her husband Lou of Red Bluff, Calif., eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Charlotte Krogh of Exira and a brother-in-law Leland Jones of Lohrville, nieces, nephews and firiends.
Graveside services were held at the Oakfield Cemetery East of Brayton on July 23,2011 with Intern Rory Phillips officiating.
