Steve Dale Park

Steven Dale Park, 63, of Bloomfield, passed away on June 8, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 4, 1958 in Atlantic, to Henry Dale and Billie Lorraine Morrill Park. He married Dianne Shannon on June 17, 1979 in Lewis. The couple had two daughters, Laura and Lacey.
Steve worked for the Davis County Secondary Roads Department as the Assistant to the County Engineer for 34 years. Steve was the ultimate car guy. He loved to build model cars and race cars. He spent countless nights in the pits at the races, helping wherever he was needed. The 1932 Ford he built was his special pride and joy. Steve was also a family man and loved attending his children's and grandchildren's events. He was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Park of Bloomfield; two daughters, Laura (Clint) Ammenhauser of Ottumwa, Lacey Allison of Oskaloosa; two grandchildren, Evan Allison, Norah Allison; and a sister, Pam (Brian) Hall of Newton, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jacqueline Warner.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 14 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow the service at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday with the family present to greet friends from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
