Charles Roy Delfin, born in Los Angeles on June 16, 1945 passed away in his home in Rocklin, California on August 29, 2016.
Charles and his sister Helen were adopted at the age of 4 and 5 to Gengero and Bertrice Delfin and were later separated to different foster families. Charles was later raised by Alfonso and Annie Chacon from the age of eleven until adulthood. He was later reunited with his sister Helen, after she located Charles some years later and they kept in contact ever since.
Charles served proudly in the USMC as a Corporal in the Vietnam War with a specialty as a Rifleman and was honorably discharged receiving many medals including the Good Conduct Medal and the Presidential Unit Accommodation.
After his service, Charles completed his Associates Degree in Drafting and he worked as an Electrical Draftsman his entire career until his retirement.
Charles is pre-deceased by his second wife Susan Molly Holland Delfin and is survived by his first wife Phyllis Elaine Delfin and their two sons Marcus Greg Delfin and Brian Keith Delfin, sister Helen and Ron Clark, adopted brother Johnny Delfin, nephews Kenny and Melissa Caldretti, Jeremy Caldero, niece Shammarie and Josh Mathis, step-children Tanya Safier and Bill Rosingana and grandchildren Justin and Samantha Safier and Nickolas and Emmalene Rosingana.
Charles will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California. Services will be announced at a later date.
