Dana Bice Obituary
Dana Ruth Bice, long time resident of Auburn and Lake Wildwood, passed away Friday the 1st of July at home surrounded by family.
Born in 1944 in Sacramento, she graduated from North Highlands High School in 1962.
Dana worked for AT&T starting in 1963 as a Project Line Assigner, retiring in 1996 after 33 years.
Dana had a passion for traveling and seeing the World, and enjoyed the sites and sounds the country had to offer. She loved flowers, collecting prized possessions such as precious antiques, and she enjoyed spending time with her many close friends.
She and husband Tom of 39 years, built two family homes together, and lovingly restored an old abandoned cabin in the Sierras to spend time with family and friends.
Long time members of Sacramento Classic Chevrolet Club, Dana and Tom spent much of their time restoring 1930's and 1950's classic cars, and were frequent participants in Car shows.
She is survived by her husband Tom, sister, Judith Meeks, daughter, Denise (Bateman) DeYulio (son-in-law Joe, grandchildren Krista & Anthony) step-daughter Molly (Bice) Taylor, step-daughter Shannon (Bice) Sandman (son-in-law Craig, grandchildren Samantha, Paxton & Rider), granddaughter Brittany Lazar (grandson-in-law Filip, great-grand daughter Felicity) and granddaughter Berlyn Dunning. She is preceded in passing by her son Darrin Bateman.
Services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights, with a Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge, 195 Pine Street, Auburn, following the ceremony.

We had a wonderful time during a recent celebration honoring Dana on her 70th birthday. Toward the end of the party Dana thanked the large number of guests. Her comments were tailored personally to each individual attendee. Typical of Dana, nobody was overlooked. Dana was such a kind, thoughtful person. We will miss her greatly!---Paul & Marian V
