Don was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. After service with the Army Air Corps during World War II, he came to California and was a longtime resident of Roseville. Don managed the Diamond International Lumber Company in Roseville for many years, was a member of the Roseville Planning Commission, and retired from Arden Lumber. Don was also a member of the Roseville Masonic Lodge.
Don is survived by his wife of 50 yrs, Irene; his children, Gary Heuser, Nanette Jones and husband Steve, Les Heuser and wife Karen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Swanson, Tara Heuser, Lindsey Jones, Katie Heuser, Joel Heuser and Jana Diaz, and great-granddaughter Guinevere Swanson. He also leaves behind sisters Lois Corning and Phylis Unger, and many loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family service and burial at the Roseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Childrens' Hospital in memorial are requested. Arrangements are being handled by Chapel of the Valley.
