Jeremy went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2011. He was born to Richard and Dona Shaw on April 30, 1970 in Auburn, Calif.
He attended Placer High School in Auburn and finished his education at Mohawk High School in Marcola, Oregon. He returned to Auburn in 1989 where he entered the concrete profession. He married in 1994 and moved to Carson City.
After the birth of his daughter in 1997, the family moved to Sacramento, Calif. where he continued in the concrete profession. He was a past member of the Cement Masons Local 400 and Auburn Moose Lodge.
Jeremy accepted the Lord as his savior and was baptized on December 17, 2000 at Northside Church in Sacramento, Calif. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling and riding roller coasters with his daughter Sierra.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother, Dona (Shaw) Gilbert; grandmother, Rusty Wolf; grandfather, Bill Shaw and mother-in-law, Pat Wager.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley and daughter Sierra Shaw; father, Richard Shaw; step-mother, Sharon Shaw; grandfather, Don Wolf; grandmother, Caroline Shaw; half-brother, Paul Gilbert; step-brother, Jerry Johnson; step-sister, Tabetha Magnusen- Keno; aunts, Mary Schipper, Chris Dusek and Kathy Talbert; uncle, Ken Shaw; sister-in-law, Bobbie Day; brother-in-law and good friend, Eric Day; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeremy was loved very much and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service is being held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Cornerstone Community Church, 11111 Dry Creek Rd., Auburn. Private inurnment will be held at Lone Star Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Jeremy Shaw Memorial Fund for the benefit of his daughter, Sierra, at any Golden 1 Credit Union.
