Dearest Favorite Father-In-Law,
I visit you often, talk to you, and daily pray for you. You are sadly missed by everyone, but I especially miss your gentle kiss you'd always give me. Please know I will take care of Jim, and treasure all the ways he acts and talks like you! It's a wonderful gift you've given to me. Love you forever, Your favorite daughter-in-law

To my dad … You are now a resident of heaven and can hear all our thoughts but I need to write to you. I thank you for who you are and for who you always will be. You are a wise and interesting man with a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. You are a kind and just man. I want to thank you as well for who I am. I am an honest person with a good and decent heart. My values are strong. My love is solid. I didn't always start down the right path, but I did always get back to the right path. You helped me more than you knew. You have always been the best father any person could have. You gave each of us exactly what we needed.
We are all so saddened by your leaving, but we have memories that make us smile and always will. We are all better people for having known you and your love.
You are now with those who have gone before you. You are probably chatting away in Polish with your father and Babci, your brothers, your sister, your aunts and uncles and cousins. You are most likely having coffee and a donut with Jesus. Wow. Your soul is youthful and you suffer no earthly ailments.
I thank you, too, for the other people in my life; your beautiful wife, Mary and my amazing brothers and sisters, my niece, my nephews, and my own children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. You are part of all of us and to pass along the values you gave us would perhaps be the greatest tribute we could pay you. I love you. I miss you. So much.
Forever,
Dawn
