Barbara I. Lamitie

PORT BYRON < Barbara I. Lamitie, 68, of Utica Street, Port Byron, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lamitie was born in Baldwinsville, the daughter of Edward and Irene Wynes Minnoe. She lived in Port Byron for the past 30 years. She enjoyed camping, country music, dancing, but most of all being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Lamitie; daughters, Jody Lynn (Jennifer) Lamitie, of Mattydale, Dawn Lamitie, of Seneca Falls, Jackie (Gary) DeBois, of Port Byron and Rhonda (Jim) David, of Auburn; brothers, Thomas Minnoe, of Auburn, Hollis Elliot, of Syracuse, Gerald Elliot, of North Carolina; sisters, Sharon Episicipo and Debbie Brush, both of Syracuse; grandchildren, Jennifer, Stacey, Michael, Brittany, Joshua, Amanda and Steven Jr.; great-grandchildren, Julia and Clara, and family member, Steven David Sr.; her precious cats, Abby and Freckles; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, from the Audioun Funeral Home, 218 Main St., Port Byron. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, from the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron. Contributions may be made to the Port Byron Ambulance Fund, PO Box 367, Port Byron, NY 13140.
