Beverly, P. Baker
Beverly, P. Baker, 87, the widow of the late Charles H. Baker, of Franklin Street Road, Sennett, NY passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023 in Upstate University Hospital.
Born in Newark Valley, NY she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Crispbell Ryan and a graduate of Ithaca High School. A wonderful hard-working mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to the "Baker Clan," Beverly was a matriarch of the family, a great homemaker and a role model. She enjoyed taking care of her large family, cooking, baking, maintaining the Bakers' homestead, planning, directing and celebrating all major holidays, and caring for anybody in need. She truly cherished the time spent with her family, friends and acquittances. All who attended were well fed with delicious food. When her eight children got older, Beverly worked as a hostess and waitress at The Krebs restaurant in Skaneateles. She relished spending the late winter in Myrtle Beach, NC with her husband, Charles and other family members.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Krol (Andrzej "Andy") of Fayetteville, Michele Doody of Auburn, and Dawn Baker of Ithaca; her sons, C. Craig Baker (Robin DiMezzo) of Canastota, Neil Baker of Auburn and Wayne Baker of Auburn; two brothers Gordon Ryan of Ithaca and Dennis Ryan of Groton; one sister Peggy Houghton of Trumansburg; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by two daughters, Judy Baker and Teresa Knoerl; one grandson Malcolm Milton, one brother Arthur Pierce; and a sister Loraine Wood.
