Claudia Thurston Obituary
MONTEZUMA | Claudia Rose Thurston, 70, of Route 90, Montezuma, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Claudia was born in Cato on June 5, 1942; she was the daughter of the late Lottie Loveless. Claudia was a member of St. John's Church in Port Byron and a long standing member of the Montezuma Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Hards, of Montezuma, Trudy Philippon, of Minnesota, and Jane Thurston, of Florida; her brothers-in-law, Thomas Thurston, of Savannah, and Kenneth Thurston, of Liverpool, and several nieces and nephews. Claudia is also survived by her dear friends, who were as close as family to her, Brenda Smith and Patrick Thomas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Thurston, in 2011.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at St. John's Church in Port Byron. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport.
