WEEDSPORT | Craig D. Keel, 54, of Downs Road, Weedsport, passed away unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
Craig was born in Auburn on March 9, 1962, the son of Daniel Keel and the late Irma Young Keel, who predeceased him on March 10, 2014. He was a graduate of Weedsport High School and enjoyed race car driving across the United States. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children, he treasured every moment with them.
Craig was a gentle, loving and devoted father to his son, Andrew Keel and his daughters, Allison Keel and Maci Keel. He is also survived by his father Daniel; his siblings, Constance G. Bolton, of Liverpool, Roger (Gloria) Goodrich and Jeffrey (Nancy) Goodrich, of Weedsport, and Jennifer G. (Richard) Copley of Texas; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Craig was predeceased by his brother, Eric Keel.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at the Weedsport Rural Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Craig C. Keel, may be made to the Weedsport Fire Department, 8892 South St., Weedsport NY 13166; or in remembrance of his mother Irma to Matthew House, 43 Metcalf Drive, Auburn, NY 13021.
