David Pearsall Obituary

MORAVIA | David Leigh Pearsall, 43, of Moravia, passed away suddenly on Jan. 22, 2013, while vacationing in Florida. A 1987 Moravia Central School graduate and an Army veteran who proudly served in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield, Dave was an avid fisherman and hunter with a keen interest in music. A former resident of Columbus, Ga., David worked with several bands and music venues as a sound engineer, and was a bass player for the Columbus area heavy metal band, Empire.   He was most recently employed by Kinney Drugstore in Moravia as a pharmacy technician and delivery driver. He is survived by his mother, Lucinda L. Jones, of Moravia and his father, Donald J. Pearsall (Kathy), of Cocoa, Fla. Also surviving are his grandmother, Audrey Jones; sister and brother, Diana J. Patten (William) and Daniel K. Pearsall (Sarah); niece and nephews, Bethany Keagle, Hayden and Merrick Pearsall; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A remembrance will be held in his honor in August. In recognition of Dave's love and compassion for animals, and in pride of his military service, his family suggests that charitable donations in his honor can be made to Warrior Dog Project or Wounded Warrior Project.

sending my deepest sympathy to the entire Pearsall family. I knew Dave because he was a classmate of mine and i can remember how he loved to make us all smile during class when we where to be quiet he would do something to make the entire class get laughen...my fondest memory comes when i saw him where i worked and he told me to take care of myself because he heard i was sick but yet he was sicker than i...he worried and always put others before his own needs and worries. God Bless you Dave and may you rest in piece...
