Earllene Watkins Obituary

AUBURN < Earllene V. Watkins, 89, formerly of Stryker Homes, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Mercy Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Watkins was born in Auburn on Sept. 25, 1918. She was the daughter of Maurice and Clara Blaisdell Grady and a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church. Earllene will be remembered for her outspoken editorials in the newspaper, expressing her view on current issues in the area. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Adle, of Fleming; two sons, Bernard Watkins, of Aurelius and Burton Watkins, of Weedsport; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Watkins was predeceased by her husband, Alton Watkins; a sister, Mary Evelyn; and a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Watkins. Funeral services and calling hours will be held privately for the Watkins family. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Cayuga. Funeral arrangements are under the care of White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn. Contributions may be made to the charity of one"s choice.
