I remember when Freddie and his family moved to North Chatham. I loved Freddie and his family; they were a wonderful addition to North Chatham. Growing up in North Chatham became a sweeter experience when the Arnold family arrived!

Sandy, my condolences to you in this time of grief. Fred was a good friend to me in our youth, 50 - 55 years ago, and I can tell by reading the comments here that he did not grow to disappoint or change from the fine person he was in the years and decades that followed. You are in my thoughts.

Our condolences to Sandy and family on the loss of one fine gentleman, short order cook and pastry chef. Thank you on behalf of NAMI, ( National Alliance on Mental Illness of Cayuga Co.) for reserving a table every Saturday morning where we conducted family support group meetings.
For the last few years, Fred and Sandy traded me eggshells ( for my garden) and I supplied some of my Rhubarb which they turned into scrumptious strawberry/ rhubarb pies! Fred was never too busy to spare a little time for a brief conversation while in the kitchen preparing meals for his customers. No one ever left the restaurant hungry, that´s for sure!
We truly came to think of Fred, Sandy, Liz and Kelly as extended family. We love you all!!!
