Genevieve Lerario Nardella

AUBURN - Genevieve Lerario Nardella, 91, the widow of the late Joseph Nardella, of 3 Briggs Drive, Auburn, died Monday, July 19, 2010, in Auburn Memorial Hospital. A native of Bari, Italy, Genevieve spent most of her life in the Auburn area. She was employed at the Dunn and McCarthy Shoe Company and was a member of the Neighborhood House Club Girls. Genevieve was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She is survived by three daughters, Pasqua Nardella and her husband, Michael, of Washington, Annette Botindari, of Auburn, and Loretta Basile and her husband, Dominic, of Auburn; five grandchildren, Christopher and David Botindari, Valerie, Dominic and Nicholaus Basile; two great-grandchildren, Kennedie and Carter Botindari; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by her parents, Giacomo and Antoinette Netti Lerario; two brothers, Joseph and John Lerario; three sisters, Mary Ficara, Leana Sebas and Angela Lerario. Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church, to be offered by the Rev. Dennis Shaw. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Cheche Funeral Home Inc., 1778 Clark Street Road, Auburn. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks for the affection and care shown their mother by the Rev. Dennis Shaw, Mary Warter, Helen Robinson and Debbie Racona. Genevieve enjoyed baking, cake decorating, sewing and china painting, but these all paled in comparison to her enjoyment of her time spent with her loving family.
