I have many fond memories of George from high school days. He was always witty and warm, and ready to have fun. And typically, always smiling. He was there for certain adventures that a group of us did, like trying to cut down the goal post at East High one night, or printing our own little humor magazine to pass out at the school. He was direct and real, sympathetic, and full of life. I wish I had kept up with him in later years, but I saw him at the last reunion and we had a good talk. My condolences to his family. He was a great guy.

There´s so much to appreciate about George. He always enjoyed a good laugh. It didn´t matter if it was an April Fool´s joke, a pun, a political zinger, or a silly play on words. And later in life he acquired the nickname - Jorge Verde - and he´d always chuckle over that.
He was also a master teacher who taught me to drive a manual transmission/stick shift. He didn´t mind, if I ground gears on his old Ford Falcon because if something broke - no problem - he could fix it.
He wouldn´t shy away from a good argument over politics or his beloved NY Mets. He was my go to guy to learn about and appreciating dairy farming.
Most of all he valued friendships and I´m grateful to have been his friend for 60 years!

George was genuine and one of a kind ! Always full of fun and intelligent as well. I remember him so well at East High before our senior year.
So happy to have spent time chatting at our 50th. God Bless A Great Person .
