George Woodruff Obituary

UNION SPRINGS - George W. Woodruff Sr., 77, of 4831 White Road, Union Springs, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca.

Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Winslow H. and Matilda Green Woodruff. He was educated in the Auburn schools and was a self-employed farmer of beef and crops in Union Springs. He was also employed in Auburn at the Nalgy Co., which is a division of Sybron Co. of Rochester.

He is survived by his two sons, Ronald (Sharon) Woodruff of King Ferry and George W. Woodruff Jr. of Belmont, N.H.; a daughter-in-law, Paulette of Union Springs; six grandchildren, George W. Woodruff III, Jason Woodruff, Karen Baity Woodruff, Mandy Woodruff, Amy Woodruff and Beth Woodruff; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Woodruff.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Donald in 1988; his wife, Frances Myers Woodruff in 1999; a sister, Marcia Innclemma; and a brother, Winslow H. Woodruff Jr.

There are no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be in Soule Cemetery, Sennett, at the convenience of the family at a later time.

Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn, is handling the arrangements.
