Gerard Mirabito Obituary

Gerard "Gerry" S. Mirabito, Jr.

OWASCO - Gerard "Gerry" S. Mirabito, Jr., 75 of Owasco, passed away suddenly Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Gerry was born in Norwich, NY, the eldest son of Angelina and the late Gerard Mirabito, Sr. He graduated from Port Byron High School where he proudly played football and wrestled. He met his wife, Pam, in Auburn where they would eventually build a house and have two children, Tim and Torrey.

Professionally, he owned and operated Finger Lakes Press in Auburn for many years, working alongside his dad, brothers: Joe and Todd, and sister, Billee. After transitioning out of the business, he went to work for Allegiant Airlines as a Ramp Agent helping charter flights for government contracts, sports teams, and other large groups.

Gerry was, himself, a private pilot and a proud member of the Finger Lakes Area Pilots (FLAPs) Club at Finger Lakes Regional Airport in Seneca Falls. He was a skilled aviator and held different leadership positions at the airport for many years. He also loved woodworking, traveling, tinkering with electronics, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving family, his mother, Angelina; wife, Pamela Mirabito; son, Timothy Mirabito (Allison); daughter, Torrey Craven (Gareth); adoring granddaughters: Emma Joy and Adeline; sisters: Laurie Ann Trapagen (Joseph) and Billee Wilbur (David); brothers: Joseph Mirabito (Debra) and Todd Mirabito (Lisa); and many nieces, nephews and cousins he cherished.

Calling hours will be conducted Sunday, June 23, 2024 from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the White Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Point on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.

Pam and Family; Can´t tell you all how sorry I am to hear of Gerry´s passing. Just found out today, purely by accident. I considered him to be one of my best friends; why I wanted him to be my Best Man at our wedding, some 30 years ago. I thought of him frequently, but never thought of reaching out.....sorry. I hope you and all will be well. Sorry this message comes so late. Take care and God bless!
