Gregory Hinman Obituary

WEEDSPORT - Gregory C. Hinman, 60, of West Brutus Street, Weedsport, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Greg was born Nov. 20, 1955 in Rochester, N.Y. to AmyLou and Harry Hinman. He was a graduate of Weedsport Central School where he lettered in football, swimming, and track. He also attended Lock Haven University where he played football.

Greg was an Eagle Scout and was a member of the Auburn Purple Lancers. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved camping in the Adirondacks with his wife, family, and friends.

Greg is survived by his wife, Jackie Hinman; daughter, Lindsey (Ken) Clark; son, Brandon Hinman; daughter, Haley (John) Anderson; grandchildren, Isabelle and Ethan Clark, Azlynn and Kinleigh Hinman, and Emma Watkins-DeVall and Landon Anderson; parents, Harry and AmyLou Hinman; brothers, Jeffery (Denise), Timothy, and Bradford (Janet); sister, Cindy (Terry) Delmar; uncle, Richard Hinman; aunts, Georgia Spingler and Marion (Bitsy) Davies; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Greg was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Jenna Hinman, and his niece, Madison Delmar.

At Greg's wish, there will be no calling hours and the funeral services will be at the family's convenience.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Hinman can be made to Hospice.

Arrangements are made with Audioun Funeral Home LLC, Port Byron.
