My condolences to the entire Jetty family. I was a neighbor of "Bully" and his many brothers and sisters in "Nauvoo" when I was a child There is not room here to list all of the fond memories from the past. I have, and would like to share, a Jetty family tree dating back to Urbain Jette in 1627. Please contact me if interested and include the name of Jetty in the subject linel

As we all have different memories of Grandpa Jetty, I came up with the following things that describe this man that spent 95 years and 7 months on earth:
Son, Brother, Nephew, Uncle
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather
Soldier
Laborer
Chocoholic
(Peanut Butter Cups, any type of chocolate, anything with sugar – especially Ribbon Candy at this time of year)
B-I-N-G-O
Selective Hearing
Comedian
Sports Fan (NY Giants, NY Yankees, SU & SanFrancisco Giants)
Playing Cards (Pinochle, Flinch, Cribbage, Euchre)
Food Critic
Baker (Sugar Cookies, Walnut Glazed Cakes)
As I was preparing to say good-bye to Grandpa Jetty, I thought about “timing.” 22 years ago at this same time of year I lost my grandfather on my mother’s side of the family at the age of 16. About 2 ½ years ago my boys lost a very dear great-grandmother, my son Kenny was 16. And now Grandpa Jetty, my son Jeff is 16. All of us just kids . . . I was also left to think about this time of year and how Jesus, “just a kid” came to this earth. With that being said, I want to say good-by with a song that left me to think about how “just a kid,” not just any kid came to earth . . . .
