John Gregory Quill
June 16, 1947 - March 7, 2024
SWANSBORO - John Gregory Quill, 76, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern. He was born June 16, 1947 in Auburn, NY a son to the late Jeremiah and Helen (Petrison) Quill.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and he will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
John faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and then began a career in civil service which moved him around the country finally settling in NC.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joanne (Wojnowicz) Quill; daughters: Pamela Quill and her significant other, Arthur O'Mara of Moravia, NY and Catherine Boyce and her husband, Christopher of Huntersville, NC; son, Jeffrey John Quill and his significant other, Beth Woodard of Seneca Falls, NY; grandchildren: Nicholas Quill, Evan Boyce, and Jonah Boyce; and a sister, Margaret Faulkner and her husband, Mark of Auburn, NY.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Quill and a sister, Virginia Tasker.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
