Joseph J. Tarquino
April 23, 1942 - March 31, 2024
AUBURN - Joseph J. Tarquino, 81, the husband of Maureen (Casey) Tarquino, of Auburn, passed away Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. Born April 23, 1942, he was the son of the late Milton and Madeline Lewis Tarquino. He grew up on Staten Island and was a graduate of St. Peter's High School.
Joe loved watching birds and has several beautiful pen and ink bird drawings around the house. He liked watching Syracuse University Basketball and filling the house with the smell of red sauce that he would cook all day.
Joe was employed for many years as a mason with Sunnycrest and was a proud supporter of The Wounded Warrior Project. He was an Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 207, and a communicate of St. Mary's Church.
In addition to Maureen, his wife of over 60 years; Joe is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Boudreau (Dale) of Rochester; two grandchildren: Ryan and Meghan Boudreau; nephews: CJ, Michael and Matthew Ingulli; lifelong friend, Bill Lloyd; beloved dog, Lulu; and bird, Molly.
He is predeceased by his parents; and one sister, Joan Ingulli.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Saturday, April 6, 2024 at noon in St Mary's Church in Auburn. A calling hour will be conducted prior to mass from 11:00 a.m. until noon in the church. Arrangements are with the White Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
Contributions may be made in memory of Joseph to the Saint Joseph's Health Foundation, 973 James St., Suite 250, Syracuse, NY 13203.
