Kevin Shaw Obituary
June 18, 1956 - January 12, 2025
Kevin Donald Shaw left this world peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his home in Raleigh, North Carolina on January 12, 2025 after a long battle. The son of the late Donald S. Shaw and Evelyn J."Sooky" Shaw. Kevin was born on June 18, 1956 and grew up in Auburn, New York and attended Auburn High School class of 1974.
He served in the United States Marine Corps, spending his entire enlistment at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Kevin began his nearly 40 year career with Firetrol in the early 1980's. Initially Kevin was a part of Firetrol's manufacturing team, after being given the opportunity to move from manufacturing to sales, Kevin would thrive for decades.
Kevin's fight against the cancers that attacked him over many years did not diminish his zeal for life or his robust sense of humor. Kevin had 2 passions, eating at the very best restaurants and his love of animals.
Kevin is survived by his wife Linda, her 3 daughters, Lilli, Hannah and Annabelle, his sister Karen Campodonico, a nephew Joseph Campodonico (Samantha) and 2 daughters, a niece Catherine Trippi (Nick) and 2 daughters as well as several cousins in Auburn, and his beloved dog "Gunner". Kevin will be greatly missed by his family, many dear friends, colleagues, and customers.
The family requests that any donations be made in Kevin's memory to Saving Grace Rescue, Raleigh, North Carolina.

I first met Kevin at St. Mary's School where we both graduated from in 1970 and then both at Auburn High's class of 1974. We continued our friendship after high school until he left the state and I haven't seen him in maybe 30 years. He was always smiling and just seemed to have a great love of life. I missed you being around and my heart goes out to his family and friends for their great loss. Robert Brewer

Kevin was a lovely friend from the earliest days of high school, an affable guy with a ready smile. He and I reconnected last September at our class's 50-year reunion in Auburn and we had plans to get together in Washington, D.C., for a weekend of sightseeing and dining out last fall. I regret he had to cancel for personal health reasons. I hope he rests in peace.
