Lola Knowles Obituary

Lola J. Knowles

Lola J. Knowles, 88-year resident of the Finger Lakes area, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, with family and her beloved dog Chloe by her side.

Lola was a graduate of King Ferry Central School class of '54 and was employed for thirty years with NYSEG, where she made several lifelong friends.

After retirement she made Moravia her home where she enjoyed babysitting and attending the senior citizen group trips and luncheons. She was an avid reader and loved to travel and to feed the birds on her front porch.

Lola is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Louise Jackson of Aurora. Lola is survived by two daughters, Robin Falkenberg and Laura (Laurie) Talcott (Brian Jones); grandchildren Victoria (Ernie) and Kyle; great-grandchildren Rita, Ernie Junior and Johnny; her sister Judith Jackson and brother Louis (Darlene) Jackson; and many nieces and nephews, which she loved very much. Her blended family also included David Jones, Amy Jayne (Dan) Molly and Nate Jones.

Lola was a beautifully kind, quiet lady, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and to those that knew her - a loyal friend and neighbor. To know her was to love her.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the 10-10 Restaurant, Main Street, Moravia.

Lola supported many charities, but the SPCA was closest to her heart if you wish to donate in her memory.
