Lorraine Moore
July 13, 1928 - July 2, 2025
Lorraine Moore, 96, passed away peacefully, July 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and joy. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whose feisty spirit and warm heart touched everyone she met.
Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Ernest "Ernie" Moore. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family, laughter, and shared adventures. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie, and her son James Moore. Lorraine is survived by her son Jerry Moore (Pamela); daughter-in-law Kathy; as well as her adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Lorraine was a familiar face in the community, having worked for many years at Webster's Family Restaurant and Kosta's, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. Eventually, she retired to care for her husband, a true testament to her devotion and selflessness.
She had a passion for life and adventure, whether it was spending the day on a boat, hunting with her family, or packing up for a road trip. Lorraine especially treasured her travels across the states with her granddaughter Connie, with whom she shared countless memories, laughter, and stories.
In her later years, she found peace and joy in Tennessee's Smoky Mountains, where she enjoyed the simple pleasures of moonshine, sightseeing, and quiet moments in nature. But nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by her grandchildren, watching them dance, play, and grow.
Lorraine's favorite moments were the quiet ones: sipping a cup of tea, talking about her day, and sharing her wit and wisdom. Her presence was comforting, her laugh infectious, and her love unwavering.
Lorraine Moore was a woman of remarkable strength and grace, with a soul that was as gentle as it was bold. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved her. She is now reunited with her beloved Ernie, at peace and finally home. It was Lorraine's wish to not have calling hours or services and requested her family to celebrate her life gathering together.
