DAYTONA, Fla. | Mahlon Graham Kastick, 88, of Daytona, Fla., formerly of Auburn, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 in Florida.
Mr. Kastick was born in Auburn on Feb. 17, 1926; he was the son of the late Joseph and Mabel Marquart Kastick. Mahlon served as a staff sargent in the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Division at Guadalcanal and at Coral Sea; he then went on to serve in the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Presidential Unit Citation. Mahlon was employed at NASA as an electrical engineer, retiring at the age of 72. He loved fishing, engraving, and spending time with his family.
Mahlon is survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie (Lewers) Kastick; his children, Tina Coville and her husband, Rick, Michael Kastick and his wife, Diane, and Craig Kastick and his wife, Wendy; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mahlon was predeceased by his brother, Theadore Kastick.
Services are incomplete at this time.
