Margery Bunnell Obituary

Margery A. (Peters) Bunnell, 89, of Auburn, passed away peacefully and comfortably in home hospice with family on September 9th. Margery, daughter of the late Henry and Frances DeJoseph was a longtime resident of Auburn and a former resident of Jordan. Margery had a long and successful career as a school bus driver for the Jordan-Elbridge CSD. She prided herself for also holding the position of Union Rep championing the interests and concerns of other drivers in the district. Margery was an avid golfer and bowler, a former member of the Genesee Street Voices and loved game shows and puzzles. Most of all, Margery loved the special times spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her loving children, Steven (Sally) Peters, Gretchen (Greg) McAllister, Andrea Peters, Kenneth (JoAnne) Peters and Bettina (Patrick) Kelly; eight beloved grandchildren, Kevin, Sarah, Roxanne, Eric, Brendan, Gwen, Ali and Nuriya; sister and brother-in-law, Ann (Dan) Rego. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her daughter, Sue (Glen) McMaster; husband, Robert "Bob" Bunnell; and sisters, Mary DeJoseph and Shirley Lynn.

There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 9th, at the Meadowbrook Golf Course, Weedsport, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, please kindly consider a donation to the Meadowbrook Golf Course for a bench on the course in Margery's honor.

Marge was a very happy and fun lady that I had the pleasure of golfing with at Meadowbrook golf course thirty some years ago. Prayers to her family, may she rest in peace.

Marge was a wonderful women. l found her to be smart, opinionated, and friendly. She was married to my dad for many years and was a welcomed member of our family. She will be missed by many.
