UNION SPRINGS - Marilyn A. Clapp, 85, of Basin Street, Union Springs, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
Mrs. Clapp was born in Old Forge, the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Doane Beader. A graduate of Union Endicott High School Class of 1939, Mrs. Clapp married Carroll J. Clapp on Jan. 29, 1944. She was employed by Gordon C. Palmer Chevrolet in Union Springs, and she was also a real estate agent, working in the Cayuga County area and Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Clapp was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, Union Springs.
Surviving are her children, Joseph Clapp of Union Springs, Mary Lynn (Gary) Connor of Salisbury, N.C., and Susan (Robert) Karandy of Burnt Hills; grandchildren, Meaghan Connor of Mason, Ohio, Courtney (James) Robinson of Kettering, Ohio, and Eric Karandy and Joseph Karandy, both of Burnt Hills; great-grandson, James L. Robinson III; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Clapp was predeceased by her husband, Carroll J. Clapp, who died July 30, 1979.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at St. Michael's Church, Union Springs. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Town of Fleming.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Union Springs Fire Department Ambulance Fund, Union Springs, NY 13160 in memory of Mrs. Clapp.
