Marjorie Bates Dusinberre

BERGEN < Mrs. Marjorie Bates Dusinberre, 82, of Bergen, librarian aid at the Bergen Public Library, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Facility in LeRoy. Mrs. Dusinberre was born June 1, 1926 in Weedsport, a daughter of the late Earl and Katherine Smith Bates. She was a member of Bergen United Methodist Church, and active in the Bergen Triangle Club and Dorcas Circle. She was a registered nurse and formerly worked at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Charles Dusinberre died 1987. Survivors include two sons, John (Denise) Dusinberre, of Churchville, and Mark Dusinberre, of Hilton; two daughters, Mary K. (Donald) White, of LeRoy, and Diane (Samuel) Vann, of Trumansburg; two sons-in-law, Fred Hartgrove, of Batavia and Douglas Hilburger, of LeRoy; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. She is the mother of the late Anne E. Hilburger and Nancy Hartgrove, who both died in 1999; and James A. Dusinberre, who died in 1997; and sister of the late James Bates, Robert Bates, Harold Bates, Virginia Walters and Mary Bates. Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 S. Lake St., Bergen. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Bergen United Methodist Church, 27 S. Lake St., Bergen. Burial will be in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen.
