Mildred S. Kehoe

MORAVIA < Mildred S. Kehoe, 84, of White Road, Moravia, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, after a short illness. Millie was born Aug. 1, 1923, to Charles and Alice Stoyell and was a lifelong resident of Moravia. She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Mary Defendorf and Lillian Swayne; her brothers, DeWitt Stoyell, John Stoyell and Harold Stoyell; and by her husband, Donald J. Kehoe in 1985. Millie"s ancestor, John Stoyell, was the first settler in the town of Moravia in 1789. She was a graduate of Moravia High School and Kent"s Business School of Auburn. She was employed by the Harvestor Co. in Auburn during World War II and later operated a dairy farm with her husband and family. She was a member of the New Hope Fireman"s Auxiliary, Cub Scout leader and a past volunteer for RSVP. Surviving are her four sons, Hal (Merle) Kehoe of Honolulu, Hawaii, D. James Kehoe, Mark (Ann) Kehoe and Edward (Linda) Kehoe; and by her daughter, Nancy Kehoe, all of Moravia; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, at the Owasco Reformed Church, Owasco, with burial in Kelloggsville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the New Hope Fire Department and Auxiliary.
