Robert B. Cumm

WAVERLY - Robert B. Cumm, 84, passed away March 24, 2012 at ElderWood Nursing Facility in Waverly, where he had resided since October 2003. He formerly resided in Owego, Waterloo and Cayuga. Born in Albany, he was predeceased by his loving foster parents Clarence and Clara Tallman. He attended Mynderse Academy. Mary, his wife of 49 years, predeceased him on March 23, 2004. He was also predeceased by his brother, George Cumm. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and retired from Sylvania GTE after many years of service. For a few years he also maintained the grounds of a golf course and cemetery and was dog enumerator for the town of Aurelius. He is survived by a son, Kevin and his wife, Susan, of Owego; a daughter, Debra Foster and her husband, Craig, of Cayuga; five grandsons, Gene (Amanda) Cumm, of Endicott, Charles Cumm, of Buffalo, Daniel (Nicole) Didas, of Erin, Michael Foster, of Syracuse and Daniel Foster, of Cayuga; great-granddaughter Amelia Cumm and great-grandsons Caleb Didas and Nicholas Cumm; brother Donald (Josie) Burrows of Tampa, Fla. Visiting hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 at Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alan Jagger officiating.
