Robert J. "Bobby" McQueeney

October 8, 1940 - September 9, 2025

Robert "Bobby" J. McQueeney, 84, passed away at home on September 9, 2025. Bobby was born on October 8, 1940, to the late Leo and Dorothy (Coughlin) McQueeney. After High School, he served his country in the Navy from 1958-1968, and then continued serving the community as a correctional officer for 26 years. Bobby was an avid golfer, a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants and Syracuse basketball team. He was a dedicated member of Holy Family Church.

Bobby is survived by his nephews and nieces: Patrick (Julie) McQueeney, Joseph (Nora) McQueeney, Kathleen (Mark) Leonard, Mary Beth (David) Swancott, Maureen (Tom) Canacari, Mark Axton, Marty Axton, Matthew Axton; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was pre-deceased by his brother Ronald (Barbara) McQueeney, sister Carol Ann McQueeney, brother Thomas McQueeney; niece Michele and nephew Michael.

There will be a funeral mass at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, Auburn, NY, followed by entombment at St. Joseph's Cemetery with military honors. Condolences may be made at www.BrewFuneralHome.com
