LIVERPOOL - Roger K. Lasher, 82, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his home after a long, brave battle with cancer. Roger was born in Throop, N.Y., where he lived before moving to Weedsport, and finally to Liverpool in 1981.
Roger's gifting was in automotive bodywork, with the majority of his employment being at Lewis Goodman Chrysler Plymouth. In his spare time, he was found in his garage fixing, painting, and building cars while sharing his passion for cars with his children. He brilliantly painted many vehicles, including award-winning antiques. He was the best around! In his later years, Roger found his talent in woodworking. He'd hear of a need, design it, build it, and fill that need. His family will treasure his creations for years to come. Roger was a committed and loving family man.
Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 35 years, Rosemary (St. Germain) Lasher; his children, Melinda (Jim) Whirtley, Kevin Lasher, Dawn (Bill) Baker, Brenda (Bob) Gonza, and Jackie Bratt; step-children, Paul (Martha) St. Germain, Michael (Mary) St. Germain, Jeffery (LuAnne) St. Germain, and Steve (Trisha) St. Germain; several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home, Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, in Baldwinsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Roger's memory can be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
