AUBURN | Ruby "Clyde" L. Rouse, 76, of Auburn, passed away on Dec. 12, 2015 at Auburn Community Hospital. Ruby was the daughter of the late Marshall and Drucilla Taylor Gallimore.
She attended the Blakely County House School in Georgia. Ruby was one of the Mothers of Auburn First Church of God in Christ, and also was a Sunday school teacher. She worked as a nanny for years in Georgia caring for many of the children in the community. Ruby also enjoyed in her later years caring for her grandchildren, and spending as much time as she could with her family.
She is survived by three sons, James L. Rouse and his wife, Pamela, of Las Vegas, Nev., Norce Becker and his wife, Patricia, of Syracuse, and Stacey Rouse, U.S. Navy (Ret), of Norfolk, Va.; five daughters, Rosa Rouse, of Auburn, Genia Agee and her fiancée, Elliot Williams, of Auburn, Sandra Owens, Tracey Brown and her husband, Alonza, of Syracuse, and Gladyus Rouse; two sisters, Ruby Henderson, of Atlanta, Ga., and Gladys Mae Lemon, of Atlanta, Ga.; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Henry L. Rouse; sisters, Rosa Lee Crawford, Willie Mae Marshall, and Lucille Lawson, and brothers, Ulysses Pete Butler Sr., Walter Lee Butler Sr., and Johnnie Lee Gallimore.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at Soul Healing Ministry, 90 Garrow St., Auburn, NY 13021, with a home going service at noon. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
