WEEDSPORT - Sharon Ager Grome, 73, of Weedsport, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at The Commons on St. Anthony.
Born Jan. 21, 1945 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Erma McNutt Ager. She had been employed previously as a secretary with Cooper's Chiropractic Office in Weedsport and the Jordan-Elbridge School District. In the past Sharon had a great love of horses, as an owner, and competing in showing horses. In the present she enjoyed Sunday dinners, going away to visit her son at his home and shopping with her daughter. The new great-grandchildren always put a smile on her face.
Sharon is survived by her children, Erwin (Antoinette) Grome Jr., of Livingston Manor, Rebecca (Steve Siracusa) Van Norstrand, of Port Byron, Michael (Ulinda) Grome, of Virginia, and William (Sherri) Bos, of Weedsport; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol Witten, of Chittenango; two brothers, Thomas Ager, of Kirkville, and Jerry Ager, of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Grome was predeceased by her husband, Erwin J. "Tex" Grome in 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Warners. Friends are invited to call on the family from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Sharon Grome may be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, NY 13021.
