May 9, 1953 - October 28, 2025
Timothy J. Wilkinson passed away after a brief illness on October 28, 2025, at Crouse Irving Hospital at the age of 72. Tim was predeceased by his parents, Hannah and Eric Wilkinson; his sister, Janet Sarah; his brother, Patrick; his sister, Kathleen McMahon; brother-in-law, Leo McMahon; and brother-in-law, Gary Volk.
He is survived by his daughter, Kayleen (James) Spicer of Jamesville; his brother, James (Gloria) Wilkinson of Auburn; his sister, Maryann (Lawrence) Charette of Auburn; his sister, Theresa Volk of Rochester; two grandchildren, Davey and Eloise Spicer; along with several nieces and nephews.
Born on May 9, 1953, Tim was a graduate of Auburn High School. Tim was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Carpenter Local 277. He was extremely resourceful and had the talent to repair just about anything.
An avid sportsman, Tim was at his best outdoors in nature enjoying fishing and hunting. In his younger years, the thrill of motocross racing brought great happiness and excitement to his life, along with a few broken bones. Always quick with a joke, he loved sharing stories with family and friends. Known for his one-liners, Tim had a knack for making people smile, a trait no doubt inherited from his Irish mother. His kind and generous heart endeared him to everyone who knew him. Tim will be deeply missed.
Friends may call Saturday, November 15th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Farrell's Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South Street, Auburn, N.Y., where his Funeral Service will follow immediately at 12 p.m. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cayuga County Habitat for Humanity, 110 Genesee St., Ste. 140, Auburn, NY 13021.

Tim was ( is) a great friend of mine. He was a gentleman in every sense. He taught me how to catch a fish! From up in a tree! That´s Tim! We went canoeing so many times, his spontaneous spirit was so refreshing. We had a lot of laughs, Tim had so many stories he shared & he could tell a story! He was a gentle, kind, altruistic man. It was a privilege to be a friend of his. We were on Cayuga lake one summer frequently, canoeing & fishing. This one particular day the wind kicked up out of no where, we just happen to have an umbrella with us, so Tim being Tim opened the umbrella just to see if he could catch the wind & oh boy it did! We went "sailing" it was so much fun! He always made me laugh. He had a big caring heart, always polite & welcoming to everyone.
I can not say enough about how incredibly kind he was. He was so very proud of his daughter. His eyes would light up while he was sharing a memory of her as a little girl. He was so proud of her & her accomplishments. I loved that kind man, how could you not! You have your wings now Tim. I know you are making the ladies laugh, I know you are with your mom " Hanna" a beautiful woman inside & out. I miss you already Tim, thank you for all the laughs, all the stories & for being a true friend.

So very sorry for your loss. He always made me laugh with a joke or his quick wit. I haven't seen him since his motorcross days, but loved his sense of humor. Good memories.

Sad news hearing about Tim passing. Known him most of my life. Will miss running into him while stream fishing for trout. Was a smart guy and always friendly. Will miss you Timmy. RIP my friend.

It´s been a long time ago, but always good memories, be it hunting, fishing, motocross racing, laughing and partying.
Never a dull moment when Timmy, Pete Restey and few others who aren´t around anymore would all get together.
