AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at Westwood Nursing Home, Mrs. Adele Farr Shearer, 79, wife of Harry J. Shearer, Jr. Mrs. Shearer was a native of Augusta and a homemaker. Family members in addition to her husband include her sons, Russell F. and wife (Claudia) Shearer of Augusta, Vance W. Shearer of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Russell Shearer, Stacey Plooster; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Shelby Plooster; sisters, Frances Scott of Augusta, Jeanette Lefevre of Cross Junction, VA. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005, 10:00 A.M. in the Walker Family Cemetery with Rev. Robert Gillespi officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Walker Family Cemetery, C/O Rusty Shearer, 2302 Canebrake Court, Augusta, GA 30907 or the Alzheimer's Association, 1899 Central Ave., Augusta, GA 30904.
