Carolyn McAllister Obituary

ATLANTA, Ga. - Carolyn Broome McAllister, age 89, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, March 29th at Heartland Uptown Nursing Home (Westerville, OH) after a brief illness. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina. She attended Augusta College and worked for the IRS and as a Realtor. She is survived by her nephews, Roger (Gale) Broome of Galena, OH and James (Cara) Hamilton of Greenville, SC, and her nieces, Elizabeth (Robert) Gruber of Augusta, GA and Carole (Georgeanna) Bonds of Palm Springs, CA, and many great and great-great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. McAllister of Atlanta, GA; her parents, Edgar (Elberta) Broome Sr. of Augusta, GA; her sister, Margaret (James) Hamilton of Perry, GA; and her brother, Edgar (Thelma) Broome Jr. of Augusta, GA. Carolyn was a strong vibrant woman who was loved and will be greatly missed. Viewing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the service to follow April 2nd at Hill Funeral Home, Westerville, OH. She will travel to Augusta, GA for a graveside service and interment at Westover Memorial Park at 11 AM on April 9th. Remembrances and condolences may be shared at www.HillFuneral.com.
