Catalino Rivera Obituary

Retired Freight Operator AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Sunday, February 27, 2005, Mr. Catalino Rivera beloved husband of Monserrate Rivera. Mr. Rivera was born in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. He lived with his family in New York until six years ago when he made his home in Augusta. He was a retired freight operator for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. His family said he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Other survivors include his sons, Wilfredo Rivera (Iris) of N.Y., David Rivera and Rafael Rivera (Sandy) of Augusta, Michael Rivera of N.Y., Ruben Rivera (Nilsa) of PA, the late John Anthony Rivera and his daughter-in-law Rosa, fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sisters, Elisa Rivera of N.Y., Anamin Rivera, Ramona Rivera, Paula Rivera, Esthel Rivera and Rosa Marie Rivera all of Puerto Rico; brothers, Carlos Rivera and Geraldo Rivera both of Puerto Rico, and Thomas Rivera of N.C. He was predeceased by his brothe r Ludin Rivera. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 3119 Holly Haven Dr. Augusta, GA 30907.
