Charles H. Rabun

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Charles H. Rabun, 65, beloved husband of Mrs. Sandra McTier Rabun, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 24 in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Drawdy and Revs. Roy Frierson and Russell Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Rabun was a native of Warren County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He was a Painting Contractor and a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Mt Beulah Baptist Church, where he was also a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mr. J.R. Rabun and his sister, Mrs. Bobbie Barfield. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sandra M. Rabun, Thomson; his daughter, Mrs. Tina (Steven) Drawdy, Beech Island, S.C.; his son, Mr. Chad (Tina) Rabun, Gibson; two sisters, Betty Gersen, Anacestes, Wa. And Mary Garrison, Jacksonville, Fl.; two brothers, Billy Rabun and Junior Rabun both of Stapleton; and eight grandchildren, Erin Drawdy, Ashton Drawdy, Michael Drawdy, Blakely Portor, Colby Johnson, Parker Rabun, Chandler Rabun, and Garrett Rabun. Pallbearers will be Troy McTier, Mansel McTier, Johnny Rabun, Ronnie Rabun, Sam Kitchens, and Aubrey Jones. Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home.
