David Perdue AUGUSTA, Ga. - Christopher "Chris" David Perdue, 57, lifelong resident of Augusta and beloved husband of 30 years to Mrs. Gail Moody Perdue, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his residence. Memorial services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors, at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 3, 2016, with his childhood friend, Matt Aitken officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until the hour of the service. Chris was a loving husband and soulmate to his wife, and a loving father, son, brother, grandpa, and uncle, as well as a faithful friend and animal lover. "Always Loved and Never Forgotten." He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Perdue. In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, Eve Perdue; sister, Cathy P. Hawkins (Greg); daughter, Shannon Smith; son, Canaan O'Brien; step-son, Harvey Hall (Colleen); brother-in-law, Tim Moody (Kim Tribble); dad and grandpa to Halee and Destiny; other grandchildren, Jonathan, Dale, William, Leeland, Ashton and Preston; niece, Dana H. Beard; nephew, Shane Hawkins (Ashley); many cousins, aunts and uncles; as well as his constant companion "Kipper".
