Dear Caren,
Aunt Geri and I were deeply shocked, and saddened to to learn of your terrible loss. It's something that we can still hardly believe. It is impossible to put into words how we feel, but you know that, we are with you in spirit, and only regret that distance makes it impossible for us to be with you in person. Our deepest sympathy goes to you in this note, which is a very weak expression of all that we are thinking.
Lovingly yours,
Uncle Bob & Aunt Geri

My deepest condolences to the family. I went to school with Daniel. My memory of him was of a kind person with a generous spirit. If he called you friend, you knew you truly had a friend you could depend on. I am so sorry for your loss.

As a parent you love your child and you think they are special. I can tell you that in this case you were right. Daniel was a very good person growing up. We respected him. I do not know why God takes children before parents, but I do know that you had a son that was loved and respected. We were better for having known him. I hope that brings you some measure of comfort in the days ahead.
Sincerely, Kelly Shelton Evans

Daniel was an outstanding colleague and friend. His smile and great work attitude was contagious and the times I had to spend with him and opportunity to interact with him was always a pleasure. He was a great person, hard working, always willing to help others and in his passing, a great loss to the Capsugel family. God Bless you during this difficult time and my thoughts and prayers are with you each day. We will all surely miss him.

Caren, I know that you do not know me, but I am Daniel's former mother-in-law. He was married to my daughter, Theresa, a few years back. I loved Daniel like a son and hope that you don't mind me adding my condolescences at such an awful time in you and your son's life. I did not realize that Daniel had a son, but I am sure that he probably looked like him with that cute little funny smile. My husband nor I could believe our eyes when we saw the paper. My mother had called also to tell us. We lost our son to cancer when he was 29 so the death of anyone is sad, but for someone so young it is heart wrenching. Please know that our love and prayers go with you and your family. Please convey our love to Gay. Thank God you have your son to remember him by. God Bless you Darling. I know you must be a wonderful wife and mother.
