It was a great pleasure to have worked with Ms. Elam for many years at Morgan Road Middle School. She was always very calm and easy going when handling any situation with the students at our place of work. She was a wonderful co-worker and friend. When I had to coordinate with her concerning a student that we had in common, she was always so polite and helpful. There was a sadness in my heart when I learned of her passing. However, I know that heaven is even better now that she is there.

To the family you have my deepest sympathy. I've known Ms.Elam for so many years she was my teacher at C.T Walker Elementary School.And when I ran into her last year we both were so amazed at each. My God she still looked the same and she replied you still look the same. She knew who I was right off the back. It was so amazing!!!!We hugged one another that day. To see someone you haven't encountered in over 40yrs. WOW!! She had a spirit that was still the same and her smile was just AMAZING!!! She will be sadly missed.

May the Grace of God keep you and your family during your time of sorrow. Your mother was a skilled mathematician, for she taught both my sons. And in May 2014 we both walked the red carpet of Retirement. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Ms. Elam was one of the best teachers at Morgan Road Middle School. She taught me math and when she finished with me it was my favorite subject. She didn't let me give up. Today, I'm successful because of the education I received from MRMS and Ms. Elam. God Bless Ms. Elam and family.

She and I was Baptize the same night at Revival, Tremont Temple Baptist Church 11th St , Augusta, GA By Rev. James Dunn at a Young age. We remined Standing the Two of Us. Diane Elam was an extraordinary educator and a very kind person- a class act, unforgettable, and a true inspiration to to many of the faculty and students at Morgan Road Middle School. Her smile made me smile too. She spoke with joy of how proud she was of her daughter. God bless you sweet Ms. Elam and grant comfort and strength to your family.

Special prayers to the family of Ms. Elam. If I was to take a minute to reflect, I can think of many great memories that were shared at Morgan Road with this sweet lady. I was saddened when I received the news. However, the God we serve is a just God and though she will be missed by the many she touched, God needed her most. A beautiful and pure spirit that will never be forgotten.

I remember Ms.Elam from Morgan Road, she was my 7th grade Math teacher. I can see here now standing at that board. She didn't take no mess off of me either...that's why I will never forget her. She will be missed.

Ms. Elam was one of the strongest teachers I have ever known. Her passion for Education and love for the students who were in her care was simply amazing. Ms.Elam didn't mind correcting your behavior nor going to your house if you had done something wrong. My fondest memory is when, she came to my rescue when I was being bully by other girls. Sorry for your lost.

I knew Diane practically all of my life. She always greeted me with a big smile and had a kind and gentle spirit. The one thing I will always remember is when Noni was sick, she gave us a book of scriptures to read in times of need. I ended up purchasing one for myself and left the one she had for herself, which I am sure was a comfort to her during these hard last days. The pain of a lost loved one never goes away, it just becomes easier to bare with time and the comfort of our Lord and Saviour. God is our comfort when our pain is the greatest.

One could not meet a nicer, sweeter person than my classmate, Lady Dianna Jones Elam. Whenever I saw her at school, her countenance was always pleasant... It was like she had a secret song in her heart that made her smile all the time.
Dianna's graduating class was a year or two after mine. Yet we were all classmates. One day, in heaven, we will be glorymates!
