Doris Thompson Obituary

Custom Drapes MARTINEZ, Ga.-Entered into rest at the VA Hospital on January 23, 2004. Mrs. Doris J. Thompson of Martinez, Ga. Mrs. Thompson lived in this area since 1960 and did Custom Drapes. She was a member of the Old Second Baptist Church that was in Augusta. A son, Rickey Lee Thornton, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Jack Thornton, Appling, Ga. and David J. Thornton, Martinez; one daughter, Mrs. Patti Adair, Martinez; one brother, Sonny Stevens, Penn.; two sisters, Betty Becker, Fla. and Barbara Supanick, Penn.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Roger Murchison officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the graveside. Visitation will be at the funeral home today, Sunday, between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m. Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd., Martinez, Ga. 30907.
