Elaine Caldwell Obituary
The graveside service will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Danny Barton officiating.
A native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, she lived in Augusta for 38 years. She was a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake School of Nursing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and served as a LT. (j.g.) in the Navy Nurse Corps in WW11. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Adrianne Caldwell of Tucson, Arizona and Mimi Goldsmith (Dr. Barry Goldsmith) of Augusta; son: Dr. John David Caldwell, II (Joyce) of Memphis, Tennessee. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3185 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA. 30909 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 26 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
