Emmett Garner Obituary

Buddy AUGUSTA, Ga. - Emmett Buddy Wesley Garner, 82, husband of the late Barbara Ann Burckhalter Garner, entered into rest Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Golden Living Nursing Center. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Frank Garner officiating. Mr. Garner served in the United States Navy and was a supervisor in the mail room of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He is survived by his son, Scott W. Garner; his brother, James Garner, of Augusta; his sister, Eleanor Fleischauer, of Augusta; and by several nieces and nephews.
